This batch processor turns PDF documents into drawings in CAD formats such as DWG or DXF.
PDF to CAD Converter is a batch converter converts your PDF files to usable and editable AutoCAD DWG or DXF files. You are able to recover the entities in PDF to corresponding DWG entities easily. This is a stand-alone program and does not need AutoCAD or a compatible CAD program to be present. Drawing layers as used in PDFs are recovered without problems. The PDF entities in drawing are also preserved and converted to the entities of DWG or DXF format as required. All PDF entity types including poly-lines, polygons, text and etc. get converted correctly. The program extracts embedded raster images also correctly.
If you handle a large volume of these files that need conversion, it does not make sense tying up expensive CAD resources for this kind of conversion jobs; particularly when this converter can manage thousands of these files in one go. All the pages in the PDF are converted.
Output options ensure you have conversions done right. The tabbed settings on clicking the output options are general options, input settings and image PDF file categories. In the general category the settings that can be made are about if you want to convert single pages or all of them at a time. The drawing file format could be chosen right now it is the DXF 2000. Remember that the AutoCAD drawing formats have undergone quite a few revisions over time. You could include all sub-folders when choosing a folder for conversion, saving you time to create the list. Input settings are about if the file is password protected and background images. The Image PDF settings let you extract embedded images, if any. So if you have a large volume of these kind of conversions, here is a good tool.
